Osdag

Osdag is a free/libre and open-source software (FLOSS) for the design (and drawing) of steel structures, following the Indian Standard IS:800 (2007). It allows the user to design steel structures (components and systems) using a graphical user interface. The GUI also provides 3D visualization of the designed component and images for construction/fabrication drawings. The design is typically optimized following industry best practices.

Osdag is based primarily on Python and various Python-based tools; and thus it works on different operating systems and will be freely available for download, share, use and betterment, as in any GNU GPL software.

Presently, Osdag is in its preliminary stages of development.
